FAQs
CONFIDENTIALITY
Confidentiality is an integral part of the therapy. I adhere to the strict UKCP Ethics and Guidelines where confidentiality is only broken in extreme circumstances. For example, when the client is a danger to him/herself, or it is disclosed that they intend to harm someone else. Unless you prefer otherwise, I inform your GP by letter that you are receiving therapy. No details are given except name and address. Communication with spouses and other family members is only with clients’ written and signed consent.
HOW LONG DOES THERAPY TAKE?
I work on an open-ended basis, depending on the clients emotional needs and preferences. The structure and framework of the therapy sessions are agreed upon in advance and revisited periodically throughout the process, to evaluate the progress of the work.
HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?
Prices vary depending on whether you are receiving consultations at the Harley Street or Golders Green location. Fees will be discussed along with method and frequency of payment during our initial, free consultation.
ABOUT ME
BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling, UKCP accredited, AVIVA, BUPA & AXA recognised
In addition to private practices in Harley Street and in Golders Green, I have extensive experience supporting members of the wider community through organisations such as Mind, Every Man Project and the TASHA Foundation. Training through Roehampton University, I gained accreditation under the United Kingdom Counsel for Psychotherapy (UKCP) which aims to maintain high standards of practice in psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling.
I am both open and curious, providing a safe and non-judgmental space to work through concerns. Using a psychodynamic approach, clients begin to understand their inner workings by bringing their unconscious processes into consciousness awareness. This enables clients to understand and reframe their day-to-day conflicts and to develop inner resources to work inner conflicts, difficult feelings and patterns of behaviour.
I've worked extensively with people experiencing low self image, bereavement, depression, eating disorders, bipolar affective disorder, relationship issues and anxiety.
